Lingcod in our area opens July 1st. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, after July 1st, Heavens Gate Charters will be offering long-range lingcod and rockfish trips. These trips will only be available as a private charter, which means you can bring anywhere from 1 to 6 fishermen for a full day, “buy the boat” un-shared fishing trip.

As well as lingcod we will also be targeting black rockfish, yellow-eye rockfish and salmon. Regulations prohibit halibut fishing on all Wednesdays throughout the season and all Tuesdays past June 20th. If your vacation falls on one of these Tuesdays or Wednesdays consider a lingcod/rockfish trip! We can also plan this trip if we have a full boat availability any day past July 1st.

Because of the length of the ride to the fishing grounds, allotted time for fishing and sea conditions, sometimes lingcod isn’t an option. On days when we can’t get to our lingcod grounds we can still target rockfish and salmon. On the morning of our charter we will always discuss sea conditions, accessible species and fishing options for the day.

HGC will provide all gear, tackle and bait necessary in jigging for lingcod and rockfish. Get ready to have fun and work your reeling arm!
